Inside ER2: Getting to Know Donna Hatfield

Donna2As soon as you meet Donna Hatfield, you can feel the positive energy radiating off of her. Someone who lives by smiles and laughter, Donna has been sharing her joy with the ER2 team as an Office and Accounting Manager since 1998.

Over the past 17 years, Donna has watched ER2 grow in more ways than one. When she started, back when they only had a small strip mall space, there were only a few employees that weren’t part of the family. But that didn’t stop Donna from treating them like they were. “I remember when Alan was just going off to college, I packed up Nerf guns for him to bring with. Now, I call him Boss.”

Donna was also at ER2 when the Schellerers purchased their first digital printer. “That’s when business really started booming,” she recalls. As she’s watched the company grow and change, the job has continued to challenge her, but it’s always stayed fun. Donna is “thankful for the front door. Every day I walk through it, I act like it’s my first day.”

Although ER2 is full of excitement, Donna likes to be adventurous outside of the office. She enjoys the outdoors and travelling to new places in her RV. A lover of camping and kayaking, she sees a nice weekend as an opportunity to take her dog, her kids, or her first grandbaby, Peyton, out exploring.

Donna3She also visits her family in Tennessee every year to connect back to her southern roots. Although born in Chicago, Donna was raised with a Tennessee heart. Kindness is a way of life, and she likes to keep it that way—even though she lives up North.

This is quite unlike her namesake. With her relation to William Anderson “Devil Anse” Hatfield (he is her third great grandfather), you wouldn’t expect her to get along so well with her siblings and others. Luckily for us, she has no rivals to speak of. Although she does still stand up for her heritage, claiming that “the Hatfields side was the good side.”

We’re thankful to have such a positive member of the ER2 team on our side. Our “bad” days never feel so bad with Donna in the office.
