Christina Swift joined us as Assistant Office Manager in October of 2017, shortly after graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She hadn’t really thought of large-format graphics as a career opportunity (in fact, the concept was new to her). As luck would have it, she had several friends who work here and they told her about the open position. After checking out some of our projects online, she was definitely intrigued and impressed. After meeting some of the zany characters on our crew, she couldn’t wait to join in the fun.
The Ultimate Utility Player
In her current position, Christina juggles a variety of jobs, and handles them like a champ. A typical day involves phones ringing off the hook, customers walking through the door, scads of invoices and other transactions to be processed, and oh yeah, coordinating marketing efforts. And there’s always more than a few “out of left field” projects that need to be done ASAP! No matter what we throw at her, Christina takes on any assignment handed to her with a smile and a determination to succeed. “My position is definitely hands-on,” she said. “I enjoy being able to work through the challenges and come up with solutions.”
Personality + Curiosity = Career Satisfaction
Christina enjoys getting to know new customers and building her relationship with our regulars. Her friendly attitude makes everyone around her feel comfortable. Learning about new things is a passion of hers and she loves the variety of fields she comes in contact with on a daily basis here at ER2. “It’s a great place to work,” she says. “The family atmosphere here makes it easy to come into work every day.”
Time Out to Relax
Out of the office, you can find Christina spending time with family, friends and her two Yorkshire Terriers, Macy & Leo. Other interests? Painting and finding new recipes to try on Pinterest also occupy her free time.
Definitely bitten by the travel bug, Christina studied abroad in Italy her sophomore year of college and has toured 9 other countries. She’s hoping to go back someday soon and visit a few more. A few of her favorite places were the Eiffel Tower, the Berlin Wall and the Anne Frank House. She also loves all kinds of music and usually has Spotify on playing her current favorites.
