Inside ER2: Jason Dillas “Lives and Breathes” Interior Design

Jason Dillas, our Director of National Sales, comes to ER2 Image Group with a strong background in helping design, plan, and execute custom interiors. Growing up with artists in his family (both his Mom and Grandmother), his love for drawing, painting and design has been with him since he can remember. In high school, his passion for art developed into skateboard logo design and the occasional graffiti pieces around St. Louis (his home town). By 19, he was the production manager for a local sign company managing the day to day operations.

He moved to Chicago in 2000 and just a few years later he joined one of the largest Fleet and OEM graphics manufactures working with Fortune 500 organizations helping deign and implement national fleet graphics campaigns. Jason was looking for a more diverse mix of projects when he got a job offer in India. Hey, why not! After working there in graphics and printing for two years, he was inspired by the fabrics, textures and colors of India.

He brought this knowledge back to the US and joined one of the largest providers of visual marketing solutions with a company based in New York City. Running in the same circles (and working the same trade shows), he reached out (again) to ER2. Jason has known the Schellerer family for over 20 years and had always kept in touch and when he saw the new facility, he knew he wanted to be a part of it. We were delighted to oblige.

Transforming any Surface in any Space

Jason will be heading up our APPLIED SURFACES division where he is able collaborate with some the brightest minds in Interior design working with the largest Architectural & Design firms and really help transform workspaces through the use of fabric, texture and color (read more about our thoughts on texture). He firmly believes that well-designed space has a profound effect on the wellbeing of employees, clients and their visitors. Jason’s strongest attribute for this endeavor is his love of conversation. He believes everyone has a story to tell and he wants to know it, allowing him to connect with just about anyone. This talent will be invaluable as he makes the connection between our clients’ needs and the services we can provide.

Rest & Recreational Pursuits

When Jason isn’t hard at work, he loves spending time with his wife and four children, planning their next travel adventure. He’s an outdoors guy who loves music, playing both the guitar and piano. And, while not many people know it (until now), he does a mean Kermit the Frog imitation.

If your workspace is suffering from dull office syndrome, contact us and let Jason and the rest of our team make their magic happen.
