Flirty Girl Fitness is a women’s only fitness and lifestyle facility that incorporates the spins and techniques involved in pole dancing, chair dancing and lap dancing into a real exercise program. And don’t call it a passing fad – since opening in Canada in late 2005, the company has expanded to Chicago to open its flagship studio in the U.S. as well as another location in the city.
For their interior design, the “Flirty Girls” wanted to convey a theme that was fun, feminine, flashy and well, a little flirty.
The answer from ER2 Image Group (Formerly Bloomingdale Signs by Tomorrow) was a custom wallpaper treatment that utilizes glitter and gives the texture a unique and shiny “pop.”
This became especially important to set the mood for the front entrance, in which a bright pink was complemented by butterflies that appear to leap off the wall.
To continue a feminine and fun theme throughout the studio itself, we rolled out a custom wallpaper that featured pink shoelaces extending across the length of a dance studio wall. As ladies get their nails done, a giant lipstick “kiss” background against a white wall adds a playful sexiness to the environment.
Of course, it’s not all just looks.
