Acting as our Staff Accountant since 2015, Heather Schwartz expertly tracks the growth and performance of ER2 Image Group. With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Purdue (Go Boilermakers!) and a Master’s in Education from DePaul University, she shatters the typical “bean counter” accountant stereotype. Heather came to us as a seasoned professional, having spent 9 years perfecting her Accounting/Office Manager skills for a large bar and restaurant group as well as a property management company.
A Daily Multi-Tasker
Heather joined us because she was looking for a job that had room for professional growth. Mission accomplished! In addition to her accounting duties: collections work, entering invoices and analyzing financials (isn’t that enough?) – she also helps with Human Resources and reviews OSHA requirements in her role as our Safety Manager. In fact, one of the things Heather enjoys most about her job is that each day is different from the one before, bringing a whole new set of challenges for her to resolve. Working with all the departments gives her the opportunity to engage with everyone in the company on a regular basis.
Making the Job Her Own
A source of pride for Heather is the way she was able to shape the accounting position into something that is truly functional for the unique needs of ER2. She worked hard to learn the needs of our owners and management staff and then tailored her skills for maximum effectiveness.
Taking a Break
Heather’s favorite vacation spot is Costa Rica, but her travel treks range from Disney World in Florida to Mexico, the Dominican Republic and as far away as Russia!
Her music taste tends to Pearl Jam and the Dave Matthews Band. She has seen both of them perform in concert at Wrigley Field – one of her favorite places on Earth since she is also a huge Cubs fan.
Speaking of sports, one of Heather’s special pastimes is watching her (almost) 9-year-old Ean, play football, basketball and baseball. She is also Assistant Cub Scout Den Leader for Ean’s pack and Treasurer for the PTO of Greenbrook School in Hanover Park.
Even off the job, Heather is still the ultimate Multi-tasker!
