Ravinia Refresh: Preparing For An Encore

ravinia

For several consecutive seasons, Bloomingdale Signs by Tomorrow has had the privilege of working with the Ravinia Music Festival in the northern suburbs of Chicago. As in previous years, we were asked to perform a complete graphic refresh of the park, which is certainly no small project. They It’s often say said at about Ravinia that “there’s nothing like it under the stars,”: And which is absolutely correct when speaking aboutit comes to the size of the park, with its theatres and its giant lawn space, they sure are right.

With such a large 2013 schedule – from Tony Bennett to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Ravinia wanted to be able to promote its upcoming concerts for the season to attendees from many sections of the park. As you’ll see from our gallery, that meant elements such as:

  • Pennant and triangle banners in the ticket box area
  • Banners in the parking lot for Customer Appreciation Day
  • Hangning banners in the Pavilion
  • A 30′ x 40′ banner in front of the historic Martin Theatre
  • Banner stands in the restaurant area (promoting the Ravinia Market and gift shop)

Each element had to be not only seamless in the overall look, but also had to stand out on its own in a unique way. That’s what great outdoor events that cover a lot of ground are made of.
