iCOMBAT Laser Tag Hits the Mark with New Booth

“BANG! BANG! Got you!”

“Did not!”

“Did too!”

Things have come a long way from the old days of cap guns and endless argument about who “got” who. Today, sophisticated instruments keep track of players at iCOMBAT, the industry leader in Tactical Laser Tag. This is no kid’s game. Their adult-focused form of laser tag encourages tactics, communications, and a team win mentality. Scores, achievements, and ranks are measured for almost 500,000 ranked players in their system. Clients choose the iCOMBAT brand because it’s authentic, with every detail designed and created to bring the ultimate laser tag play. So, when iCOMBAT needed a new trade show booth to open up their franchise business, they looked for a company that would bring their own style of authenticity and attention to detail to the mission. ER2 reporting for duty!

The Objective

When Vice President of Operations Brandon Mijokovic met with Michele Pedre, our Account Executive, he expressed the company’s needs quite simply – Display, Storage, Product Information and Visibility.

“We had very specific requirements and ER2 jumped in right away to help plan our project,” Brandon said. “They provided a design that incorporated a conference room, the ability to hang three hundred pounds of products, and 4 TV monitors – all in a package that is easy to setup and ship.”

The Tactics

The only challenge was making sure the island structure could hold the weight of the lockers, and figuring out what we could use for shelving and support. Our partners at REXframe®provided the structure. Made from lightweight, yet sturdy aluminum, the innovative framework is simple, versatile and is assembled using a simple connector system. Scott Kellerman, who heads up our structure and fabric department, was able to provide added support within the structure to hold the lockers and balance the frame.

“We also recommend that the height for the booth stay just under 10’ rather than the 16’ originally requested, Michele commented. “That kept cost down with the added benefits of making the graphic panels without seams and helping keep the frame more structurally sound.”

We also made the booth adjustable, so the same frame could be scaled up or down to fit the floorspace of each particular show.

Mission Accomplished

The booth was ready to ship to the IAAPA (The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) show, iCOMBAT’s largest convention of the year. “We definitely plan on using ER2 in the future, Brandon said. “They provided everything they promised, on time and at the price quoted!”
