Big or small, every project is important to the team at ER2, especially when it comes to helping those in need. We recently had the opportunity to partner with Special Spaces Chicagoland, a nonprofit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening illnesses, giving them a special space all their own.

We were contacted by Special Spaces to help give 9-year-old Marshall a dream bedroom makeover. Marshall has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle wasting disease, which took away his ability to walk at the age of seven.

Due to Marshall’s weakening muscles, he spends most of his time at home. Because of this, Special Spaces wanted to give him a room that he could easily navigate in and enjoy. His love of the Chicago Bulls was the inspiration, so they brought together sponsors and volunteers to create Marshall’s very own dream court.

ER2 was asked to put the finishing touch on Marshall’s new wood flooring. To complete the look, we created a vinyl floor decal in an outline of the key of the court in Bull’s red. This 6.5’x4’ decal accompanied a basketball hoop, Bull’s mural, framed autographed jerseys, and other Bull’s memorabilia that was brought in by Special Spaces sponsors.

Rachel Williams-Petit was ER2’s Account Manager on this project and was thrilled to work with Special Spaces. “We were honored to be a partner with an organization that gives back to the community and children in need. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Special Spaces Chicagoland for many projects to come. ”
