One of our favorite parts of this job is taking something run-of-the-mill and making it extraordinary. Mall kiosks are usually quite plain without much branding or signage; this summer, ER2 got a chance to fix that.

Last year, Comcast/Xfinity asked us to brand a couple of mall kiosks with their design elements. The project evolved from there and we covered a large amount of the state of Illinois, including Aurora, Champaign, Peoria, Rockford, Springfield, and other cities.

Nick Fracasso, ER2 Image Group Account Executive, said after the first order from the company, the next batch came very quickly.

“After the first one, it was pretty much ‘Here we go,’” Fracasso said. “Our hope was that they would like our process, our vinyl and our professionalism. My sense is that we made a pretty good impact on them. Obviously, once wrapped, these kiosks stand out among all the others around them.”

Fracasso said this is a unique project due to the dimensions ER2 designers and installers have to work with. Each kiosk is a different size and has small areas, such as drawers and cabinets, which need to be branded.

“They want their specific elements on it, but sometimes it’s hard to figure out where we’re going to put them to make maximum impact,” Fracasso said. “Obviously we’ll wrap anything, but it’s always a challenge with unique projects like this.”

ER2 always loves taking on new challenges and adding color to projects. This time, we got to paint not just the town red, but the entire state. What more could you ask for?
