We Cannot Tell a Lie: This Painting is a Reprint

We cannot tell a lie: this painting is not the original. While the naked eye may see Emanuel Leutze’s “George Washington as a Master Mason,” an oil piece from more than 150 years ago, it’s actually a reproduction done with our high-tech digital printing technology.

This remarkable project came by way of the Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago. They wanted the first-ever reprint of this work of art. We usually aren’t invited to recreate presidential portraits, but this was a unique opportunity that couldn’t be passed up. After all, you can never be afraid to innovate and try something new.
